I made a visit to the zoo to check in on the wild Black-crowned Night-herons which nest there. I liked the way that the reflected light was hitting this bird, so I grabbed a few shots of it, but did not notice the missing toe until later. I wonder what happened; a punch up with the Flamingos? Or maybe it got stuck in a turtle
