And You Thought That Coco could be devious….
Originally uploaded by A. Drauglis Furnituremaker
After six-and-a-half years, I finally made a piece of furniture which could not go down the stairs.
I took out the bedroom window and shoved the 40″ by 45″ by 23″ Oak cabinet out onto the roof and then down to the sidewalk. Whew! what a relief!
Once it was down, I went back upstairs to put the window back in and found that DERBY WAS CHEWING THROUGH THE ROPE.
Once again, he leaves me speechless……

This trip was the second best vacation that I ever went on;( the best being the 2003 trip to Vermont with Carly).

Comet Holmes 17P, originally uploaded by A. Drauglis Furnituremaker.
The darkest (and safest) place which I could get to was behind my house; away from the streetlights, but still having to avoid the glare of my neighbor’s floodlights
Equipped with Dad’s trusty tripod I was able to get some at least crude exposures - The last time I tried my hand at photographing a comet (Hyakutake) I had to weld up a rig using scrap metal and carriage bolts that would clamp to a 4×4 porch post.
