I had a handle. A handle which needed a partner to fulfill it’s role.
The handle was carved from my neighbors tree after the tree was chopped down.
It sat, getting dusty, and waited.
I found a stone in the middle of a gravel road. It’s shape begged for it to be a tool.
The handle had it’s mate.
It could not fare well as a tool of construction, however.
I have many things better suited to those tasks.
The more I swung it and felt it’s weight, the more it
presented as
a Tool of Defense.
No, I don’t want a pistol
Hammer and hatchet are all I need
