Just like the chopsticks I started making the wooden blocks to use as much of the wood as I can. This is part of the reason you may find blocks made from exotic woods like African Mahogany, Zebrawood, and Aniegre. Of course there’s usually plenty of Cherry, Oak, Maple and other more common blocks too. The selection changes regularly, so be sure to check the store, on Etsy.com, to find out what’s currently in stock. I generally sell them in groups of 10 or more, it really just depends on how much wood there is.
I’ve been amazed at shows to see how something as simple as wooden blocks really thrill kids. I remember one show where a boy around ten wandered into the booth and just happily started playing with them, building a big tower. Of course, moments later his mom saw him and made him stop.
